The third event of the winter season took place on a dry track once the small amounts of ice had melted away and it was nice conditions for racing all weekend, except for a little rain on the Sunday morning qualifying session.
On Saturday, Kieran did very well in practice and qualifying and was second fastest at one point on the Saturday and on Sunday morning in damp conditions Kieran also put in a good 3rd qualifying session, being 2nd fastest in the wet conditions, even though he did only three laps as we so no point in doing anymore with the track being a tad slippery.
In Race one Kieran had a good start and was racing for third position with another rider, Kieran was getting a tad frustrated as even though he stuck with the rider in front, he could not pass him as the rider in third place kept blocking Kieran from passing by putting his foot out, thus preventing Kieran from doing an inside pass and Kieran could not do an outside pass due to the lack of power from his bike verses his opponents bike.
Two laps from the end of race one and still on the back wheel of the third place racer, Kieran lost the back end in a corner and his leg got caught in his bike and he had to hold onto the bike until it stopped sliding to prevent injury to his leg, this caused a red flag, but Kieran was fine after being checked over by the paramedics.
In race two, Kieran had a bad start due to a wheelie off the start line and in race three he stalled his bike on the start line, so a promising weekend went fast downhill, Kieran finished fourth overall this weekend, placing him fifth in the championship.
